"What compound is the hose made of?"
100% polyether based polyurethane (unlike budget similar looking products that only have a blend of PVC fillers). The manufacturer states that this wonderful hose is drinking water safe. This hose is designed for long term use.

"What is the life expectancy of the Garden Coiled hoses?"
5-10 years (unlike many other brands of hoses that use inferior components and only last 1-3 years).

"I see that the 60' Garden Coil can be used inside my apartment off of any of my faucets. Are there any drawbacks to doing that?"
First you must find the proper faucet aerator - male hose adapter. We furnish (the 60' Garden Coil comes with) an aerator adaptor but it won't fit all brands of faucet spouts. You might have to go to a local hardware/plumbing/homecenter store to find the proper sized adapter. If your faucet is a foreign made model it might be difficult to find the proper sized adapter. You can mail us your current aerator and we can see if we can match it and provide you with the correct adapter. Also, if you install the aerator adaptor to a budget kitchen faucet spout, or if you pull very hard on that spout then you might have a leak on your spout. Generally that isn't a problem but we do want to let you be aware of those potentials.

"Do you have any care tips?"
They are best stored re-coiled (non stretched) with the water pressure relieved. In freezing conditions drain out all water completely and store away from freezing temperatures. Turn off water when not in use. If you do all of that these wonderful quality hoses should last a very long time.
